Víctor Gimeno Granda, new Chief Digital & Sustainability Officer at Capital Energy
- His task will be to consolidate digitalisation, sustainability, agility and innovation as differential, inextricable values in Capital Energy’s DNA throughout its value proposal, contributing to driving the energy sector’s Fair and Green Transition that the company champions.
Madrid, 5th January 2021. Capital Energy, a Spanish energy enterprise incorporated in 2002 with the vocation of becoming the first vertically-integrated 100%-renewable energy firm on the Iberian Peninsula, continues to strengthen its team with the appointment of Víctor Gimeno Granda as new Chief Digital & Sustainability Officer (CDO - CSO) at Capital Energy.
Víctor G Granda, a professional with more than 16 years’ experience in business strategy and transformation, takes on his new post with the aim of consolidating digitalisation, sustainability, agility and innovation as intrinsic values at the Company and differential factors in integrating into the entire value chain, contributing to driving the energy sector's Fair and Green Transition that the Company champions. To do so, his field of responsibility will cover Digital, Sustainability, Organisation, Strategic projects - VRO and Corporate Venturing duties.
During the past six years, he has performed the role of Head of Transformation Strategy & Digital Agenda at Enagás, leading the company’s digital and ecosystem transformation. Previously, Víctor spent a large part of his career in the strategic consultancy department at Accenture Strategy.
The new Chief Digital & Sustainability Officer at Capital Energy holds a degree in Environmental Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the IE Business School and the Management Development Programme (PDD) from the IESE Business School. He has also done the DIBEX and DITEX Digital Programmes Course given by the ISDI Business School and collaborates as Professor of Digital Transformation in various institutions, the highlights being ICAI-ICADE and ISDI.
With this appointment, Capital Energy ratifies its vocation to lead the invisible pairing that is sustainability and digitalisation, in line with the new trends, both in Spain and Europe-wide, in these fields: decarbonisation of the economy; environmental restoration; the circular economy; new business models; people-centred; platform services models; energy systems integration; green hydrogen; and other digital-type infrastructures, etc.
